On Gigstarter you can subscribe your band, ensemble, DJ or solo-act for free. Choose your country from the list of flags below to read more about the local opportunities and what Gigstarter can offer you. As an event/party organiser you can just scroll through the database and contact the artist you'd like to book. You don't need to make a profile and all is done without any booking fees.
Gigstarter isn't only a channel for the acquisition of nice and unique concerts. More and more artists are using Gigstarter as a booking management tool, that is, to organise themselves, their promotion and their gigs, in an ordered and professional way. The concert agenda, booking confirmation and the review, a.o. are often used features on the Gigstarter platform.
Artists using Gigstarter as intended, will see how their profile organically will get the shape of a live music curriculum vitae. Professional music programmers (i.e. the people booking the artists for venues and festivals) are very much interested in both your track record and your followers. Apart from getting a good feel for what you do and how you sound, a Gigstarter profile is ordered in such a way that both private clients as well as high end venues and festivals know rapidly if you're what they're looking for.
Many types of artists subscribe. From classical music ensembles to pop-rock bands or house DJs to poppy singer-songwriters. Both beginning artists as well as celebrated artists make use of Gigstarter. Sometimes people find it difficult to show what they ask for a concert, but times of vagueness are over, transparency is key in the world of today. No matter what your level or experience is. At least that is Gigstarter's philosophy.
Quite fortunately, we're proud see how our mission and venture is having a positive effect on the music market: people see what they can book; don’t waste each other’s time if a booking is impossible; as a result the barrier is removed and more bookings follow. Since 2012 we've been propelling an impressive amount of many thousands of local and international bookings for live music events across Europe.
At first instance Gigstarter aims to arranging local gigs. In the end it's local performances that are most feasible and most common (don't forget travel costs can be a great part of the price once you need to travel more than two hours...). Starting in near country border areas and spreading from capital to capital, little by little we've been generating increasing amounts of opportunities across Europe. If you want to know more about our pan-european operations visit Gigstarter.eu. For the system to work best and for you to get the greatest amount of bookings it is advised to subscribe in the country where you’re based. If you want to join our platform as an artist but don’t live in the countries listed below, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Gigstarter is not only used by independent artists. The open platform is also used by managers and (local) booking-agents. We don’t ask any booking fees so there aren’t any downsides. Gigstarter can and should be seen as a medium, just like e-mail, socials or any other means of accessibility and communication. We offer special accounts for managers and booking agents. These can be seen on the local websites under the PRO-membership options. Gigstarter can be an interesting platform to tap into a broad community and leverage international impact. Contact our local artist success managers for additional information.
No hassle. Just music.
